Christmas its the most Wonderful Time of the Year!!!

Many of us are probably counting down the days until Christmas. Some us might be dreading having our family over and cooking huge meals. Some of us might have procrastinated our Christmas shopping until the last minute and are panicking now as to what to get our family and friends. However, Christmas is a time of joy, giving, thanks, and enjoying precious time with our family and friends. Its a time for listening to Christmas carols and putting up Christmas trees and decorating our houses with lights of all sorts of colors, lawn decorations, and etc. Christmas is my favorite time of year I love driving by at night seeing all the houses decorated with all its beautiful decorations.

After a Semester in College...

After a semester in college I feel like I did alright. In the beginning of the semester I felt as though I was drowning in my schoolwork. With assignments atop of assignments to get done. Whether it be reading assignments, presentations or papers to write. There just didn't seem like was enough time in the day to complete everything. I had an extremely terrible habit of procrastinating and not knowing what to complete first I can be working on an English assignment and then all of a sudden stop doing that and begin on an assignment for my Discover New York class. I feel as though I been getting better at managing my time and my grades seem to be improving. Then when it was time for midterms I realized I had to maintain my G.P.A and work even harder. My midterm grades were decent but I felt as though I could have done better. So, I decided that I am going to work twice as hard next semester and try my best to get straight A's.

Would you commit a federal offense to find the Perfect Guy?

In the ABC Family Original Movie "Holiday in Handcuffs"
which premiered tonight at 8pm. Well, Melissa Joan Hart who plays a struggling artist/waitress did! She kidnaps one of her customers (Mario Lopez) to bring home to her parents after her boyfriend breaks up with her after promising to come home for the holidays to meet her parents. At first he hates her and tries to escape by using a cell phone numerous times until she smashes it and flushes it down the toilet. He tries everything possible to escape...he realizes that he fell in love with her along all the chaos. It really is a movie that not only brings in the holiday spirit but the love of the holidays. Watch it it'll bring a smile to your face.

Disney's Enchanted...is a quite Enchanting Film

On Friday December 7th my friends and I went to see Enchanted the new Disney movie which combines the animated world with our real-life New York City. This movie combines two classic Disney movies together such as " Cinderella," "Snow White." The movie starts off with Princess Giselle (left) in her magical animated land of Andalasia. However, on her wedding day she is pushed down a wishing well by her fiancee's stepmother who is disguised as an old woman. The well leads her to modern -day New York city (right). She seems lost and is looking for her castle. Giselle is fighted but finds herself getting help from a friendly divorced attorney. His compassion helps her to survive in New York City. She is caught in a love triangle when she has to choose between her Prince Edward who she was to marry or Robert (the friendly divorce attorney). This movie is a cute must-see you will just have to catch it in the theaters to find out who she picks.

Beauty Queen gets tangled up in her own set of lies

In SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico police are questioning accusations that somone put pepper spray on a Puerto Rican beauty contestant's clothing. Miss Puerto Rico Universe Ingrid Marie Rivera and pageant authories stated that someone had laced her makeup and doused her clothing with a chemical they believed to be pepper spray during the November 23 contest in an attempt to knock her out of the running. Forensics later found out that her clothing and makeup contained no traces of pepperspray. Therefore, police concluded that she has a lot of explaining to do. I think that she planned this and it was all a hoax. She deserves to have her crown taken away from her.

The Chaos of Shopping on Black Friday & Cyber Monday

While others might be sleeping off the meal they had the day before whether it is an oversized turkey, yams, desserts and many other delicious foods of the Thanksgiving holiday. Others were waiting on line at midnight for the stores to open to start their Christmas shopping the day after Thanksgiving most commonly known as “BLACK FRIDAY.” On midnight at Thanksgiving people waited outside for “early bird specials”, “special discounts.” Which would get you ahead and save you money on your holiday shopping. However, along with the good discounts comes millions of other shoppers who are also trying to find the perfect gifts for their family and friends. Many stores such as Gap, Old Navy, KB Toys, JcPenny, Circuit City, Best Buy and many others opened as early as 4 am on Black Friday to offer amazing discounts. 72 million people shopping online on the Monday after Thanksgiving which has recently been named “CYBER MONDAY. I think that its ridiculous that so many people are willing to shop so early in the mourning to get really good discounts and wait on line for 2-3 hours to purchase items along with millions of other people I don’t understand why they can’t wait till the following week.

Dare Not Lie

Don't tell me you love me if you are not honest and dear

For a lie that strong can destroy me life and bring on me a new horror and fear

Fear to be loved, fear to never be able to love ever again

It can cause my delicate heart to break, rip and bend.

Think everything in life that will be forgotten

because of one small broken promise you made to me.

So,when I put all of my trust deep inside you

Please don't tell me you love me,unless you truly do.

When Will it End...The Strike that No One Wants

The Writer’s strike which started this past Monday isn’t only affecting the networks but is also affecting the viewers. This strike is going to be a major test of loyalty to the fans. Networks, studios, writers, agents, managers and everyone else – are in turmoil this week. Shows such as ABC’S Desperate Housewives, Private Practice and Ugly Betty; NBC’s Heroes; the CW’s Smallville, Gossip Girl, and many others are trying to shoot two episodes a week to get as many episodes as possible able to air. Heroes’ creators are considering changing what was supposed to be a season finale into a series finale. According to the Los Angles Times “But almost everyone agrees that once the supply of new scripted episodes gets burned off -- say, by mid-January -- network prime time schedules would quickly devolve to the two "Rs": reality and repeats. Reality shows generally don't use guild talent, so existing series like "American Idol" and "Dancing With the Stars" would be strike-proof. The strike might also lead to more prime0-time sports.” I cannot understand why the networks are refusing to give the writers what they want. If they want a raise them I think they should give them one; the writers are the ones who are making money for the networks without the writers there would be no shows, late-night shows such as “David Letterman”, “Jimmy Kimmel”, “Jay Leno” and others. The networks will probably suffer because with no good shows comes no viewers and no show-obsessed fans (which I’m sure every network loves). Therefore, I think that the networks should let give the viewers what they want.
